THIS WEEK WE CONTINUED ANALIZYNG THE CULTURAL CLASHES WHEN DOING BUSINESS ABROAD. TO DO THAT WE REVISED THE USE OF IMPERATIVES.. WE ADDED MORE CLUES WHEN NEGOCIATING: BE FLEXIBLE, ASSUME, JUDGE, EXPECT, INVEST.
WE REVISED THE NAME AND NATIONALITES OF BIG COMPANIES SUCH AS IBM, IKE, CARLSBERG, NOKIA, MATEUS ROSE, ETC

ON THE SECOND PART, WE HAD A LISTENING ABOUT A COACH WHO TRAINS PEOPLE WHEN WORKING ABROAD. SHE TALKED ABOUT JAPANESE MANAGERS. SHE EXPLAINED ABOUT THE GROUP-ORIENTATION METHOD, THE GEOGRAPHICAL INFLUENCE ON PEOPLE, LIFE-TIME EMPLOYMENT, THE IDEA OF BEING GENERALISTS MORE THAN SPECIALISTS.


FOR HOMEWORK, YOU ARE SUPOSSED TO FILL-IN AN ACTIVITY TO ROLE PLAY BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE. ONE STUDENT WILL GIVE SOME ADVICE TO A CUSTOMER ABOUT BUSINESS PRACTICES. THE OTHER STUDENT WILL MEET THE CONSULTANT. FINALLY WE STARTED WATCHING THE FILM “DRAGON FLY”. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!
