THIS WEEK WE CONTINUED TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT KIND OF MARRIAGES. WE DISCUSSED THE ADVANTAGES /DISADVANTAGES , OUR PERSONAL OPINION ABOUT THEM.
THEN WE READ AND ANALISED AN ARTICLE ABOUT K.I.P.P.E.RS: YOUNG PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LEAVE HOME UNTIL THEIR 20`S OR 30´S. WE READ 4 DIFFERENT OPINIONS. YOU EXPOSED YOUR OWN POINT OF VIEW ABOUT SUCH A SITUATION.WE PRACTISED SOME EXPRESSIONS RELATED TO MONEY:TO PAY  YOUR OWN DEBTS,TO BE STRAPPED FOR CASH,TO CONTRIBUTE TO PHONE BILLS,TO ACCUMULATE DEBTS,TO SPONGE( SBDY) OFF,TO CHARGE( SBDY) RENT.
THEN WE CONTINUED REVISING THE USE OF VERB GET.WE CHECKED THE EXPRESSION GET ON WELL,GET ON SOMEONE´S NERVES,GET OLD/ANGRY,GET IN TOUCH,ETC.
THEN YOU HAD TO REWRITE SOME SENTENCES WITHOUT USING GET: GET BETTER=RECOVER,GET ANGRY=GET ANNOYED,GET YOUR HAIR CUT=HAVE YOUR HAIR CUT,ETC.
FOR HOMEWORK YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN EXAMPLES USING DIFFERENT MEANINGS FOR THE VERB TO GET.

WE STARTED BY CHECKING HOMEWORK ABOUT THE USE OF PHRASAL VERBS TAKE AND PUT.
THEN WE CONTINUED REVISING THE USE OF MODALS OF POSSIBILITY, PERMISSION,ADVICE, OBLIGATION AND WILLINGNESS.
AFTER THAT WE   COMPARED THREE  PICTURES FOR THREE DIFFERENT KINDS OF WEDDINGS: PEOPLE GETTING MARRY IN  DRIVE-IN CHAPEL IN LAS VEGAS, IN INDIA  AND THE STANDARD MARRIAGE.
THEN WE LISTENED TO AN INDIAN PERSON,PATRINA, WHOSE MARRIAGE HAS BEEN ARRANGED BY HIS FATHER. SHE TALKED  ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMS, HOW OLD SHE WAS WHEN SHE GOT MARRIED, WHO WAS HER HUSBAND, HER FAMILY LIFE AT PRESENT AND HER PLANS FOR HER CHILDREN. THEN WE DISCUSSED ABOUT THE  ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES FOR THAT KIND OF MARRIAGE.
FINALLY WE PRACTISED DECLARATIVE QUESTIONS: QUESTIONS THAT ARE USED TO EXPRESS SURPRISE: HE SAW HAW MANY? HE HAD TO? AND YOU FATHER ARRAGED YOUR MARRIAGE?
. YOU WERE GIVEN SOME EXAMPLES   TO USE THAT KIND OF QUESTIONS.

THIS WEEK WE HAD ONE TO ONE CLASSES.MAR WAS ILL AT HOME
WE STARTED A NEW UNIT REVISING THE USE OF DIFFERENT KIND OF MODALS. MODALS TO EXPRESS PERMISSION,ABILITY,ADVICE,OBLIGATION,PROBABILITY,(UN)WILLINGNESS.WE HAD AN EXERCISE TO USE: THE EXPRESIONS: BE ABLE TO,BE ALLOWED TO,BE BOUND TO,REFUSE TO,HAD BETTER,BE SUPPOSED TO, MANAGE TO.
THEN WE HAD THREE LISTENINGS ABOUT DIFFERENT SITUATIONS.YOU WERE SUPPOSED THEN TO REPHRASE THEM USING MODALS.  IT TOOK SOME TIME, BUT YOU DID IT.
THEN THERE WAS ANOTHER SIMILAR EXERCISE FOR YOU TO USE  OTHER EXPRESSIONS:YOU ARE REQUIERD TO,IS IT OK IF....?iF i WERE YOU..., YOU AREN´T PERMITTED TO...

ON THE SECOND CLASS, YOU WERE GIVEN AN EXERCISE  IN WHICH YOU HAD THREE MODALS TO COMPLETE A BLANK WITH, BUT ONE WAS NOT POSIBLE. YOU DIDI IT OK!!!
AFTER THAT IT WAS YOUR TURN TO REPHRASE SOME SENTENCES USING DIFFERENT MODALS. I THINK YOU ARE CONSOLIDATING YOUR KNOWLEDGE   ABOUT MODALS.
FINALLY WE HAD A LISTENING IN WHICH WE JUST LISTENED TO ONE OF THE CHARACTERS. FIRST YOU HAD TO INFERE WHAT  THE DIALOGUE WAS ABOUT, WHAT THE OTHER CHARACTER WAS RESPONDING  THEN YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO FILL IN THE OTHER PERSON´S PART WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS. FINALLY WE LISTENED TO THE WHOLE DIALOGUE AND YOU WERE ALMOST  NEARLY RIGHT!! THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!
FOR HOMEWORK YOU  STILL OWE ME THE EXERCISES USING PHRASAL VERBS WIT  THE VERBS TAKE AND PUT.

THIS WEEK WE  REVISED THE USE OF PASSIVE VOICE.
WE READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT  HOW PATAGONIA COMPANY TRANSFORMS SODA BOTTLES INTO SYNCHILLA FLEECE. THEN THE STUDENTS GAVE THEIR OWN EXAMPLES  FOR PROCESSES IN THEIR AEREA OF WORK.
THEN WE HAD A LISTENING ABOUT  A BEATY- PRODUCT-COMPANY: THE BODY SHOP.
WE COMMENTED ABOUT OUR IDEAS FOR THAT COMPANY. AFTER THAT WE LISTENED TO 8 CUSTOMERS TALKING ABOUT THE REASONS THEY GIVE FOR BUYING BODY SHOP PRODUCTS. SOME OF THEN WERE DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND, BUT IN GENERAL TERMS THEY MENTIONED THE QUALITIES OF THE PRODUCTS, THE FACT THAT  PRODUCTS ARE NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS, THE PACKAGING,PRODUCT PRESENTATION, ETC.
FINALLY WE PONDERED DIFFERENT PROJECTS TO GET AN SPONSOR.  MAR CHOSE THE PROJECT TO GET REGULAR CONTRIBUTIONS TO DELIVER A HOT -MEAL SERVICE FOR  OLD AND DISABLED PEOPLE. KATIA PREFERRED THE IDEA OF GETTING A SPONSOR TO PAY FOR THE PLANTING AND UPKEEP OF TREES.
WE DISCUSSED ABOUT THE PLACES, REAL POSSIBILITIES FOR THE PROJECTS.
THEN WE CONSIDERED SOME ARGUMENTS TO PERSUADE A SPONSOR. WE ALSO ANALISED SOME  QUESTIONS THE COMPANIES MAY ASK THEMSELF ABOUT THE BENEFITS/RESULTS FOR SPONSORING PROJECTS.
FINALLY , FOR HOMEWORK YOU ARE SUPPOSSED TO WRITE  A LETTER TO A COMPANY ASKING THEM TO CONSIDER YOUR REQUEST FOR SPONSORSHIP.
